Meet the Doctors

  • Dr.
    Bradley Bark

Family and athletics are extremely important to Dr. Bark which is why he has focused his education and career on the chiropractic care of families and athletics. Providing quality chiropractic care during early childhood can be a means of prevention of common injuries, illnesses and chronic diseases as we age. On the other end of the spectrum, he also enjoys helping those in pain find relief and eventually wellness through regular chiropractic adjustments and lifestyle enhancements!  He likes to treat the 'whole person' in his work as a chiropractor, which means looking for the underlying causes of disease, discomfort, and pain, which usually arise from imbalances in the spinal column.

Dr. Bark received his Bachelors of Science at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.  While attending UWP, he received his 4-year athletic letter for football.  He also participated in the Student Ambassador program and was the Senior Chairman of PSAAC (Pioneer Student Athletic Advisory Council).

He graduated from the fountain head of chiropractic, Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. He has a Doctorate of Chiropractic with a concentration in sports and rehabilitation practice. He was also granted the Clinical Excellence Award for his graduating class at commencement from Palmer College of Chiropractic. Palmer's Clinical Excellence Award is presented to a graduating doctor who has demonstrated outstanding accomplishment in service to patients, the College and the chiropractic profession. Candidates are nominated by Clinic faculty and are judged by a board of faculty clinicians on quality of patient care, leadership potential, knowledge, skills and service. He was also a recipient for awards of service honors, by receiving a certification of merit in Diagnosis, Clinical Teaching Assistant and Rehabilitation and Sports Injury.

Dr. Bradley Bark and his wife, Candice, met in undergraduate school and married in the summer of 2007.  Candice received her Master's in Engineering from the University of Iowa.  She currently works as an Environmental Engineer for Stanley Consultants in Muscatine, Iowa. He also has two children named Cora and David.

He is involved in the community of Muscatine by leading small group and being a guest servant at church. He has been involved in the Downtown Action Alliance Board, Muscatine Art Center Board, Muscatine Welfare Association Board and Recreation Advisory Commission for the Parks and Recreation at the City of Muscatine.

  • Dr.
    Austin Porter

Dr. Austin Porter was born and raised in the Quad Cities, growing up in Blue Grass, Iowa, and graduated high school from Davenport Central High School. He then attended and graduated from Midland University in Fremont, Nebraska with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Human Performance with an emphasis in Exercise Science along with a minor in Nutrition.  While at Midland University, he was also a 3 year Varsity member of the collegiate bowling team. During his Junior and Senior year, The Midland Warriors were ranked Top 10 Nationally, and Dr. Porter was named NAIA Academic All American.

After graduating from Midland University, Dr. Porter returned home to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic, where he received his Doctorate of Chiropractic, graduating Cum Laude. While at Palmer, he was an active participant in a variety of on-campus clubs including Motion Palpation Institute and extremity adjusting. Outside of the Palmer curriculum Dr. Porter expanded his technique through certifications including RockTape and Active Release Technique (A.R.T.). A.R.T is a patented soft tissue technique focused on addressing adhesions found in the fascia and muscular layers.

He gained experience while in the Palmer clinic treating a variety of patients including weekend warriors, collegiate athletes, and geriatric patients. He is excited about starting a career in the Muscatine and grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community he grew up in.

In his free time, Austin enjoys participating in CrossFit classes and the occasional local CrossFit competition. He is also an active member of the Quad Cities bowling community, bowling in scratch leagues and tournaments. He also enjoys spending time with his (soon to be) wife, Courtney, and their 3 active dogs, Whitey’s Ice Cream, and Chicago Cubs baseball.
